There are revised opening hours for the shop  as follows:

sat              7am to 13.30
sun             7am to 12.30

after his first full week of trading kevin is keen for some customer suggestions on what they would like to buy. he has already taken up requests for cereal and honey!
A blackboard is now available indicating that breads from sunshine and meats from tailors are available to pre order.

while we have this bitter weather the door will be closed, as it is much nicer to come in to a warm shop! - the post office and shop are still open though.

Kevin is pleased to say everyone has been very supportive and kind, and villagers have gone out of their way to make him feel welcome.

He is open to suggestions and feedback via the blog and Facebook pages, or pop into the shop and see him and tell him what you would like to see in store.....

whats new

sorry this is not new, however it will update you all with whats occurring so far! more to follow soon , with extended shop opening hours.

Kevin has been very busy recently sourcing some new and exciting suppliers, which he hopes will enable all of Amberley’s residents to enjoy the fruits of all things local.
It has been far more time consuming than he could ever have imagined but perseverance seems to have won through and the suppliers he wanted are all happy to supply their produce to our store starting from Monday.
Although he is nervous at the prospect of following in Jean's footsteps he is also excited at being given this opportunity to source lots of new produce and will be interested to see how the community of Amberley take to them
New suppliers
Taylors of Minchinhampton are offering customers the opportunity to pre order their weekend meat. During the course of the week Kevin can take customer orders and pass these on to Taylors who will prepare, vacuum pack and deliver to Amberley stores ready for customer collection from midday Friday onwards. Taylors have a great reputation for quality produce at an acceptable price and they have promised to be able to meet any customer requirement. They will also be supplying vacuum packed Sausages, Bacon, Pork chops, Chicken breasts etc to give his customers a more varied weekday choice.
Sunshine Organic Bakery (Stroud) will be supplying all bakery products from Monday onwards. Sunshine have their own bakery in Stroud and they are known for being of the very best quality. Kevin is particularly excited about this announcement as they are up there with the very best of bakers and he thanks Ray and his family for giving us this opportunity. Ray has agreed to have fresh baked produce delivered every day except Sundays, on Fri/Sat he will be looking to complement the breads with savoury and sweet produce as Sunshine offer an extensive range (this will mean a slight increase in current bread prices but Kevin does feel that his customers will very happy with the produce and the slight increase will be justified).
Selsley are also very well known locally for their quality preserves and syrups and their products will complement the Kitchen Garden range that is already available.
And finally Miss Daisy has kindly agreed to supply home made flapjacks that will be on general sale and again a varied range is available.
Other than the bakery products all other existing suppliers are still in place and Kevin’s intend for this to continue as long as viable but he will also have to take into account storage space, price points and what his customers wish to purchase. Overall by bringing these additional suppliers on board it will enable him to offer a much more varied range of produce and generate a buzz of excitement in the store. He has other plans for the future, such as cut flowers and more varied and exciting fruit and veg to come.
